Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon

This is a fool proof salmon recipe, it is so easy to make and it literally tastes restaurant quality. Like all my recipes, if you are not dairy free you can use regular butter for my recipes, but the light yet vibrant flavors of the lemon and butter is so delicious and the perfect summer meal. I like to pair this with a grilled veggie or salad and my summer orzo salad or brown rice as well so that you do not need to heat the kitchen in the summer heat. 

If you are not a cilantro you can always use parley or other herbs or just leave it out all together but I think the herbs really add another burst of flavoring. 

This is probably the best salmon I have ever made and because it is so easy I have made it so many times since first developing this recipe. I made it for my family members and it is the perfect meal. 

I have also made a lemon aioli and topped it on the salmon as well and it was incredible, it adds to the lemon butter sauce. I will leave the recipe for the lemon aioli below as well. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 large salmon filet 
  • 2-3 TBS melted butter
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 fresh lemon, juiced (plus more for topping)
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper to season 

Lemon Aioli:

  • About 1/4 cup vegan mayo
  • Some lemon zest (as lemony as you want)
  • Juice of about 1/2 a lemon 
  • Salt and pepper to season 

Directions:

  1. Clean the salmon filet and place it on a dish 
  2. Melt the butter 
  3. Add the minced garlic, lemon juice and spice to the melted butter
  4. Pour over the salmon 
  5. Add some chopped cilantro
  6. Grill until the bottom is crispy
